VILLAGE OF HILLCREST
Parking in the snow: during the times when there is an accumulation of three (3) inches of more of snow, parking of a vehicle shall be prohibited as follows:
(1) Even numbered
days park on the even numbered side of the street.
(2) Odd numbered days
park on the odd numbered side of the street.
(3) Residents must
use the available parking in their own driveways before parking on
the street.
(4) Emergency situations: in the event of an
emergency situation and for the duration of that emergency situation, parking
shall not be permitted on either side of the street.
(5) Emergency
situation is an accumulation of three (3) or more inches of snow.
(6) Clearing your
driveway and pushing the snow into the street is prohibited.
Sec. 58-1. Deposit of snow restricted
(b) Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions is guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be fined in an amount of $25.00. Each day such violation is committed of permitted to continue shall constitute a separate offense.
ARTICLE II. ANIMAL CONTROL
Sec. 14-31 Penalties.
Failure to perform any act required or the performance on any act prohibited by this article is designated a village ordinance violation, and any person, firm or corporation found to have committed a village ordinance violation shall be assessed a monetary penalty, such penalty to be as follows for each 12-month period:
(1) First offence: $25.00
(2) Second offence: $50.00
(3) Third offence: $75.00
(4) Fourth offence: $100.00
(5) Over four offenses $500.00
Each day during which a violation continues shall be deemed a separate offense and separate penalties may be assessed for each separate offense. (Ord. No 051403B X, 5-14-2003
Sec. 14-32.
License required for dogs and cats; issuance tag; fee.
It shall be unlawful for any person to own or have control of any dog or cat within the village without first obtaining a license therefore. Application for such license shall be made to the village clerk, who, upon receipt for the application, together with proof of rabies vaccination, shall issue a license, which shall be a small numbered metal tag. Said metal tag shall be securely affixed to the animal collar. The license shall be purchased annually and will effective from January 1 to the following December 31 each year. The fee for the license and metal tag will be $5.00 for each dog or cat licensed which is neutered of spayed, and if not neutered or spayed the fee shall be $10.00. (Ord. Sec. 14-34
Dogs or cats running at large prohibited; rabies vaccination required.
It shall be unlawful to permit any dog or cat to run at large in the village at any time. Dogs or cats which are on any street, ally
or other public place beyond the premises of the owner or keeper and not under the control of the owner or keeper shall be deemed to be running at large. Furthermore, the owner or keeper of any dog or cat must have the animal vaccinated for rabies. (Ord. No 051403B I, 5-14-2003)
Sec. 14-36.
Duty of owner to clean up waste deposited by dog or cat.
Any person allowing any dog or cat to trespass and defecate upon any public or private property within the village, not owned,
leased or otherwise control by said person, shall immediately clean up any such fecal matter deposited upon such property and shall properly dispose of same.
